Our Journey

1979

Mr Thian Boon Hua started a small stall in Chinatown serving Cantonese chicken rice.

1981

The growing popularity of Boon Tong Kee’s silky white sauce chicken rice and commitment to quality service laid the foundation for expansion.

1983

Boon Tong Kee opened its first restaurant at Balestier Road and soon garnered rave reviews, leading to rapid expansion across Singapore.

1999 – Present

The company diversified into “Zi Char” (home-style cooked food) and eateries, continuing to delight both locals and tourists with its signature dishes and warm hospitality.
